How It Works
When rubbed onto fabric with firm, even pressure, the bar generates light friction heat that softens the wax and allows it to spread smoothly into the top layer of fibers. The result is a semi-permanent protective finish that helps repel water, stiffens and firms the hand of the fabric, increases abrasion resistance, and helps bond woven fibers together to slow wear over time. It can be used to restore the water-repellent finish on factory-waxed or oilskin garments that have begun to lose their protection, or to apply an initial wax treatment to untreated canvas and heavy cotton items.
