Heavy Duty Fabric Wax | Large Bar

Sale price$19.95

Our all-natural heavy duty fabric wax is made from the highest quality beeswax and proprietary blend of plant-based waxes and oils. The first and only water repellent wax that doesn’t utilize paraffin, silicone, or other petroleum-based synthetic ingredients.

The larger size of this bar is ideal for those wanting to treat larger items such as jackets or pants, so if you're on the fence about how much wax your project will require we recommend going with this size.

Instructions

Using Otter Wax is an easy way to improve the functionality and utility of virtually any item. It can be used to revive the waterproofing capabilities of factory-waxed or oiled clothing, and is also an excellent way to waterproof untreated fabrics. Use on a variety of clothing and equipment like jackets, hats, bags, tents, and more.

Rubbing the bar back and forth creates the perfect amount of heat to loosen wax and spread evenly into the top layer of fabric. Works best with natural fabrics, but can also be used on blends when natural fabrics are in the majority.

    • Thoroughly clean and dry item before application
    • Rub into fabric to create friction
    • Smooth out with fingers to create uniform seal
    • Allow item to cure in a warm, dry place for at least 24 hours
    • Reapply as often as necessary
    • Remove spot stains with Canvas Cleaner
    • Deodorize with Odor Eliminator

    Love the wax.

Appreciate the functionality of waxed fabric. Have made multiple jackets and now a hat. Weatherproofing and added durability crowned by an amazing look. Now approve me for a wholesale account!

    Not enough time

I don't have a strong opinion on it yet. I haven't tested it that much, but it seems to work well.

I've liked the waxed canvas look for a bit. I thought it would be difficult. After tons of research, one name kept coming up - OtterWax. With a heat gun in one hand and the OtterWax in the other I think I ended up getting wax crazy. I've waxed shoes and backpacks. All were really easy to do. Sprayed water on 'em and now they are all waterproofed. Now, I am happy with the end result and Otterwax helped get me there.

    Water proof once again!

Every few years I need to re-wax my canvas coat and get it ready for winter. Ordered two bars of the Otter wax, knocked it out in half an hour and I’m good to go! Easy as can be.
